| Summary | For the purpose of developing, applying and promoting the highway maintenance and management system, this research project focuses on reviewing, revising and updating the content of current applicable regulations and manuals, and coordinating the operation procedures of each maintenance and management department to achieve the objective of simplified and consistent maintenance operations.
This research project is undertaken in two phases. The key points of Phase 1 are compiling current regulations, establishing the framework of maintenance and management regulations, and developing the statutory operation procedures in the following four aspects: highway patrol and inspection, disaster prevention and response, maintenance plan formulation and maintenance performance evaluation. The other maintenance operations remain to be undertaken in Phase 2. |
