| Summary | The objective of this project is to satisfy the requirements of the improved alternatives for the traffic order and safety of road, proposed by the Executive Yuan. The training courses are held for the second time this year. The main purpose of the plan is to assist the local government, especially the township level government, to execute the preliminary and practical training plan in traffic engineering. First, the training courses and speakers are decided based on the literature review and the results of phone-interview survey. Then the training courses are held individually in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan and Hwalian in consecutive week during the second of September to the twenty-fourth of September, 2004. The total number of persons attending the training courses is 270. Moreover, this project also establish a homepage for the need of training courses. The homepage can be reached from the (http://www.trafficwin.com). The other purpose of the homepage is to establish a channel of discussion and E-learning for all the traffic engineers of the whole country. A handbook of Road Traffic Engineering is also written and printed as a handbook of the Road Traffic Engineer. |
