| Summary | Taiwan is surrounded by the sea, and the movement of goods across borders relies heavily on maritime transportation. Among these, the transportation of industrial products is crucial to the national economy, with most of them being transported using containers. Therefore, it is essential for the government to closely monitor the status of the international container shipping market and constantly maintain a comprehensive understanding of the global container shipping system. In order to effectively provide accurate and relevant data, IIT started the development of the International Shipping Database in 2013. Since then, this database has continued to grow over the years. The main tasks of this project are to maintain the timeliness of the data, maintain the software, and utilize the database data for issue analysis.
