| Summary | On the ground of complex competition and co-operation relationship between different transport systems, in order to improve the efficiency of government’s investment as well as make better use of budget. It is necessary not only to construct a model used to evaluate and assess the future transportation plans but also to confirm the future development direction. From 2007 to 2009, the IOT has established the “Taiwan Transportation Decision Support System”, which is beneficial to assist the assessment and analysis of transportation plans. This projects aims to co-operate with the progress of the fifth Taiwan transportation projects, improve the whole transport planning as well as from mid to long term of transportation developments and support the process of making policy. This is a Three-year project and the objectives of the second year are as following: Maintaining current transportation planning database and adding the important policy analyses and topic for discussion. Adjusting and upgrading the efficiency of present Taiwan Transportation Policy Decision Support System. Analyzing individual transport policy including the transportation characteristic and exporting figures. Holding 2 research conferences to know well user’s needs and opinion Assisting the preparation of inter-city transport observation report. |
