This new taxi system is a smart satellite-based tracking and booking system for dial-a-cab service operation. With the launch of the new taxi dispatching system, which uses GPS (Global Positioning System) technology to track and dispatch radio taxi, taxi dispatchers can find and locate a vacant cab near a requester quickly and accurately and guide the taxi driver to where the requester(s) is (are) waiting. However, when a driver needs help and presses the security button, the taxi security management system will be automatically on. The taxi will be tracked and monitored by the control center. Taxi customers can get taxicabs faster and safer, hence dial-a-cab services can be improved. The goal of developing the core modules of the intelligent taxi operation management and dispatching system is to help taxi companies operate their taxi fleets more efficiently and offer their customers better services. To understand the value obtained in this phase of study, application test and efficiency evaluation of the newly developed taxi management system were also conducted in this study. |
