| Summary | Gender Impact Assessment (GIA) is the core tool for implementing gender mainstreaming. It helps to estimate the different effects (positive, negative or neutral) of any policy or activity implemented in terms of gender equality. Integrating the transportation concepts into GIA is really important to assess Medium and long- term projects effectively. Therefore, it is a must to edit a GIA handbook with for project undertakers of MOTC Subordinate Agencies. This research starts with the paper reviews of the issues and trends of transportations about gender mainstreaming. Collecting and reviewing the present procedures and transportation projects relating to GIA are followed to find out the chance for improvement. Finally, the GIA handbook with transportation concept frameworks and corresponding case studies is edited. |
