Summary | The main goal of this project is to identify facilities and objects in the Taipei Port area while simultaneously establishing a comprehensive UAV image management and analysis platform to improve the efficiency and timeliness of port infrastructure management. Additionally, building upon the achievements of the Taichung Port project, this year's objectives include establishing high-resolution spatial infrastructure data for the port area and assessing the suitability of various types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) using port meteorological data. The evaluation scope will be expanded to include ground-based unmanned vehicles, with field tests conducted to assess their autonomous navigation capabilities and the feasibility of integrating thermal cameras and gas detectors. Regular aerial UAV patrols will be conducted to continuously identify shoreline facilities, as well as detecting deviations in seawall structures, monitoring transformer box temperatures, and identifying the orientation of dock expansion joints. Finally, leveraging the functionalities of the Taichung Port platform, the 2D platform will be upgraded to a 3D platform to provide users with a practical tool for quickly understanding the port situation. Through the development of automated sensing technologies in this project, the scope of regular port inspections can be expanded, and automated tracking and decision-making for specific tasks and targets can be implemented to reduce manpower burden and enhance task execution quality. Additionally, the high-resolution spatial imagery and 3D terrain model data established will serve as fundamental reference data for future port management. Future developments will focus on integrating vehicle functions and adding new object recognition capabilities, further enhancing operational efficiency and providing a more comprehensive solution for port management. |
