Summary | This study is executed in accordance with the “International Logistics Industries Services Development Plan” and “APEC Supply Chain Connectivity Action Plan”, as well as “the Enhancing International Airport and Seaport Competitiveness Plan”, in to order help achieve international transportation effectiveness and enhancement of service quality. Global environmental changes have led to frequent occurrences of climate extremes. Increasingly frequent and high-magnitude natural disasters in the Asia-Pacific area have caused significant mortality, injury, and property damage. In response, there have been requests to improve the capacity to cope with extreme climatic conditions through increased awareness and identification of vulnerabilities. This study seeks to understand the international transportation logistics quick-response system in place for natural disasters as well as develop a blueprint for strengthened resilience of international transportation systems in Taiwan. |
