| Summary | The objective of the project is to complete the pre-plan, analysis, testing and verification of the uses of the RFID technologies in baggage tracking, management and security control. The research items include the technologies, laws and regulations, standards, processes, development trends and interface research which are requirements of the baggage security control and tracking passengers and baggage. Implementing the RFID control environment to test the baggage tracking and management, investigating and establishing the operation flow and developing the embryo information system is expected to bring up the industry energy of baggage security control and applications of management and provide the reference of RFID technology in the future. The project is based on the information of the related international organizations and other international airports implementation of the management and tracking of passenger baggage with RFID technology, and integrates current process flow and requirements in Taiwan to develop the RFID technology and application system in order to follow the results of 2005 Strategic Review Board convened by Taiwan Executive Yuan-applying RFID technology in five public areas for the purpose of “promoting the ability of science technology, research and development” which was set up by Fund of Science Development in Executive Yuan. It is expected to bring up the system applied RFID and established to promote baggage security, tracking and management efficiency to develop the expected function and performance. |
