| Summary | Demand Responsive Transport Services (DRTS) is an advanced, user-oriented form of public transport which is characterized by flexible routing and scheduling, applying small/medium vehicles in shared-ride mode operation according to passengers’ needs. The results of the research in this year are: 1. Survey the laws and regulations of passenger transport in Taiwan and address the revision, 2. Study the strategy of promoting DRTS, 3.Conduct the software and hardware planning based on needs. We define the definition and categories of DRTS, through specific lecture reviews and case studies, and survey the laws and operation regulations to propose four possible improvement schemes to support the development of DRTS in Taiwan. The software and hardware study results are prepared for the next phase of research. |
