Summary | This project is the 4th-year phase of the four-year project entitled “Research, Development, and Implementation of NTCIP Based Integrated Communication Platform”. By using the message protocols and data directory research results of the 2004 and 2005 year's research about SCP, ASC, and Bus Actuated Signal, this project planned, designed, developed and tested the Bus Actuated Signal Control System (BASCS). The BASCS developed by this project is consisted of three elements: bus information center, traffic control center and traffic signal controller set. Information is delivered by LAN between centers. After receiving the bus information data, traffic control center activates the BASCS program and sends the priority messages to traffic signal controller set. The traffic signal controller set then will choose which bus signal control scenario to execute according to the running timing plan. |
