Summary | This research study was carried out to review, analyze and make suggestions for the safety management of disasters like fire evacuation and smoke incidents for co-located MRT, Taiwan Railroad, and High Speed Railway stations in Taiwan. The study collects information on materials such as the types, structures, installation standards, engineering methodologies, codes, management regulations, and design case studies for safety equipment and facilities for underground traffic facilities from Europe, North America and Asian nations and compares this to the situation in Taiwanese co-located stations. A database of critical information was prepared and a modeling software system has been researched and purchased as part of the phase 1 study. Training utilizing disaster prevention and relief software is included in the study. |
