Summary | Electronic payment systems (EPS) in Taiwan have been developing very fast. Due to a limited scale of the domestic market, however, EPS companies face the difficulties of system maintenance, expansion, and integration. To assure EPS companies with enough transaction volume and cut the cost of purchase and maintenance, this project, based on the research results of two MOTC projects- “The Planning Guide for EPS Multi-functional Cards, V2” and “EPS Clearing & Settlement Core Module”, developed the interoperable standards for domestic EPS. Based on previous research results, the phase of this project will develop a smartcard dynamic data validation system based on MOTC V3 specification. An equipment integration approach of electronic payment will be tested and evaluated. We will also study issues about the smartcard development trend and make recommendations for future development strategies. |
