| Summary | In the recent years, the construction of the freeway / expressway networks in Taiwan has become more perfect, and also more complex. Tourists grow year after year since local governments are devoted to discovering their attractive spots, but the guide signs in Taiwan are still not uniform and systematized for efficiently providing users with correct information. This project bases on verifying the existing domestic guide signs first, and summarizing the worldwide related rules, then proposes a localized manual on uniform guide signs. In addition, in order to enhance the efficiency and consistency of the guide sign design, this project also develops uniform guide sign software, which can provide the standard guide sign graphics based on the proposed manual and enhance the efficiency and consistency of design guide signs. Finally, this project applies the accomplishments to the demonstrative roadway for correction feedbacks of the proposed manual. As a result of the testing, the manual and software will function well in practice. |
