| Summary | This research mainly focused on kernel data standardization and formulation of four types of transportation network databases, which are defined by the national geographic information system of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications. These four types of data include planned road network, existing road network, road traffic volume, and road travelling speed. Following the project report "Integrated Database Design of Transportation Network" of the national geographic information system, several accomplishments were achieved: data dictionary, data set description, geographic data layer standard, and attribute data standard. These accomplishments can be used as a reference for future development and data sharing mechanism within the transportation sector, and furthermore, to increase government operation efficiency and provide better service to the public. |
