| Summary | In order to maximize the operating efficiency of public transportation systems, automatic fare collection techniques have been applied to expedite traffic flow and exploit the full potential of public transport. This research has focused on the adoption of the automatic fare collection system in Kinmen Hsien, which would be the first place to test its system capabilities. The merits and demerits, advantages and disadvantages of automatic fare collection with expected benefits have been examined, and suggestions for future implementation also provided. |
