| Summary | The goal of this project is to improve and expand the "Road Maintenance Information Integrated System" functions, and to be more proactive in developing the whole system as an "Open platform for internet services integrated with core WebGIS and popular BLOG, FORUM, COMMUNITY, etc." To achieve this goal, this project, besides expanding the original system functions to meet the demand, also builds the initial hardware and software systems, and allows the system to be more stable and reliable by executing the training and trial operation. This project is an integrated system with real-time traffic, photologging, landmarks and other geographic information, and it is also one that will allow the general public to establish a map system to share information through WebGIS, blogs, activities, discussion, etc. And, it is also a convenient "Open WebGIS Platform" for different departments or communities to establish and maintain their own business map service. At the same time, we want to make the system still be in good operation situation, even after the end of this project. So, besides establishing a THEME of "the beauty of highway" in trial operation system for all departments to share their highway landscape, bridges, winning section, highway beauty, and other contents, we also help the Directorate General of Highways to hold the "2010 Taiwan go, Happy to travel by using public transport" and the Ministry of Transportation and Communications to hold the "2010 MOTC Inland, Maritime And Airborne Transportation Policy Forum". These two activities can be examples of the application of the system for relevant departments. |
