Based on constructing materials, harbor facilities are generally classified as steel-structured and reinforced concrete. Due to exposure to marine aggressive environment all year long, facilities are easily corroded, deteriorated and damaged. Their deterioration and safety have been much concerned than ever. Cathodic protection concept has been used and developed for over a hundred years and was recognized as having the greatest metal corrosive resistance. Based on engineering physical anti-corrosion demand, Cathodic protection guidelines have been issued for domestic situations to enhance the durability and safety of facilities.
