| Summary | The purpose of this project is to collect data of flow characteristics in on-ramp area of urban expressway and highway. Furthermore, we analyzed some variables of flow, like speed(V), flow rate(Q). Occupancy, etc., and to found the basic relationships among them. Meanwhile, we evaluated the operational capacity of each lane and to build a speed-forecasted model of the outer lanes in on-ramp area of urban expressway. We concluded that the maximum operational capacity in general. This result indicates that the capacities of these lanes are actually influenced by the weaving behavior of the vehicles running on the ramp. And, this conclusion is identical to those of former studies. Moreover, the expressway speed-forecasted model built in this plan and some conclusions on it could be referenced to the related studies in the future. |
