Summary | Published in January 2004 IOT SERIAL No. 93-33-294, 222pp. Since the 20th century, the Institute of Transportation has started to develop and integrate techniques for the database of highway investigation system, including GIS, GPS and photologging. It is a research of the photos in field to match up database saving in the computers. Because of it is easy manage, search for or correct data. It also can run continual data by way of the digital images in every occasion showing the real photo of roads. This method not only can save the trouble of live collation, but also can reduce the cost of labor and material resources. It can promote the efficiency and quality of research. A model of the data management system of marching forward road photo in field has been completed in 2000. It is a database of the provincial major roads which are more than 1600 km long. The first priority of study this year is the middle area in Taiwan. |
