| Summary | The Institute of Transportation (IOT) is a think tank for the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC). The major works of IOT are to help MOTC to draw up the policies and conduct integrated studies. There are three functions of IOT on MOTC, including providing help to MOTC to draw up transportation policies, assisting other subordinate organizations of MOTC and local governments in implementing policies, and developing technologies for analyzing and managing the transportation systems and their information management systems. In this report, we reviewed the projects and major works which had been done by each division during the past five years (2005-2009) by checking their functions and outcomes. Then, we proposed the future direction and focal researches of IOT based on considering the above-mentioned functions. The conclusions will be helpful for IOT to achieve the functions of IOT on MOTC. |
