| Summary | Due to the transport system being commonly recognized as a type of dynamic and complex system, it requires all aspects of consideration and evaluation. Furthermore, the economic analysis for transportation projects lacked of an impersonal and universal economic analysis standard procedure. Hence, according to the Institute of Transportation (IOT) and Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER) cooperation project, which is “The study on the procedure of economic analysis for transportation projects, 2007”, this research established a standard analysis procedure and developed the Economic Evaluation Software for Transportation Projects with a user guidebook. This handbook mainly focuses on all variety of national transportation development projects to establish a suitable economic analysis standard. In order to provide IOT and other consultants a reference for analyzing economic benefits, the handbook included the basic parameter setting and definition introduction and also highway, railway, aviation and maritime economic analysis. Finally, expecting to improve the practical effectiveness of using this handbook, it could be referenced by other related guidebooks in this cooperation project and also provide solutions for issues which might occur during the analysis process. |
