| Summary | To revise the existing highway functional classification and to build up corresponding highway design standard, this project reviews and evaluates the entire highway network in Taiwan. Through evaluations, this study also sets up new highway functional classification levels and develops a set of reasonable evaluation methods for highway system. The main objectives of this project are as follows: (1) To review the road network structure in Taiwan, and to serve as the reference for new highway investment plans. (2) To revise the existing computer highway network, and to serve as the tool for further highway planning. (3) Based on the established computer high network, and the evaluation of major highway development projects, this study aims to build up a reasonable highway development plan for Taiwan. |
