It is also one important issue in transportation planning for some countries. Although the establishment and programming of intercity bus commuter center are just in the beginning status in Taiwan. Because of limited budget, public authorities could not afford all the construction investments. Therefore, the mechanism of private participation will be a possible option for the authorities to construct the commuter center infrastructures. In this study, the operation characteristics of intercity bus commuter center are analyzed at the beginning. Following the analysis, the case study of intercity bus commuter center in Taiwan is discussed. And then, according to the private participation operating guidelines suggested by the Public Construction Commission, Executive Yuan, this study proposes a private participation operation process for intercity bus commuter center projects. It is expected that this report could be useful for planning the bus commuter center projects. |
