Summary | The authority of Taiwan highways follows the standard procedure maintaining Taiwan’s roads and highways but has failed to probe into improving the maintenance procedure. This paper should be used on pavement maintenance’s managerial knowledge’s core techniques to help the pavement management system to minimize errors and improve the overall procedure. The research’s managerial knowledge’s core techniques can be divided into the following five different categories. Cost analysis uses the IDEF family model to understand / explore the procedure as a whole, to aid in finding maintenance procedure improvements. Continuous time forecasting uses grey prediction and multiple technologies to enhance management techniques, by measuring variations in performance. Dispersed time forecasting uses the Markov Chain method to establish the changing state of incidents, while maintaining activity. General statistic analysis is used to sum up parameters that should be used in maintaining activity. Temporal distribution analysis combines the data from the geographic information system (GIS) and relevant roads maintenance activity information to take advantage of the geographical information within an area search to analyze the corresponding data. This paper provides not only the application of the managerial knowledge’s core techniques, but also the road maintenance concept of knowledge management application. This research provides the knowledge management module for the authority of highway maintenance in the future pavement management. |
