| Summary | This project is a follow-up with two previous studies, "Plans and Establishment of Real-Time Transportation Information Services in Land, Air and Marine Terminals" and "Building the Maintenance and Operating Mechanisms in National Traffic Information Center". The purposes of this study are to maintain the soundness and to expand the capability of "e-Trans Service - Passenger Transportation Information Center" website. In addition to expand the functions of existing website and to consolidate the intercity transportation information database, the major task is to create a database that includes 23 cities and counties bus transportation information in Taiwan. This enhanced information further will provide a better decision-making process for travelers’ route plan. Also, the functions of IVR and KIOSK should be emphasized and be promoted for better traveler’s inquiry. The inner/inter-city traveler information completed, therefore, will provide a better scope of services. |
