| Summary | Within construction of various transportation systems, there are competition-cooperation relationships and effects. In order to take control of the development direction of transportation system, it is necessary to establish an overall assessment model and enhance the benefits of resource allocation. This Institute has established the Decision Support System and Integrated Database for Deliberations over Mid- and Long-Range Projects of the Transportation Sector to provide the functions of project deliberations and issue analysis. In coordination with the 5th phase of the planning of the overall transportation in Taiwan, this project is conducted to facilitate the accumulation of information, experience and knowledge. With assessments on the overall transportation planning, project deliberations and development of mid- and long-range projects, the decision-making is supported.
This is a three-year project and the objectives of the third year are as follows: Maintaining the current integrated database of transportation planning and improving the function of the database. Reviewing, adjusting and upgrading the efficiency of the present decision support system for deliberations over projects of the transportation sector. Continuing the updating, maintenance and improvement of the development blueprint demonstration system of the transportation sector. Continuing the observation of the social and economic environment and trend in the change of transport market in 2013. Cooperating on the study and analysis of issues regarding the development of transportation system. Promoting the system results. Assisting the compilation of the inter-city transport observation report. |
