Summary	This project is implemented in accordance with the traffic network data which was updated in 2008. Based on road change information from the Road Maintenance Department and reliable map sources, such as topographic maps, photos basic maps, aerial photos, satellite images, etc., we continue to add and modify the traffic network. With the demand for the 「Institute of Transportation, MOTC」website service that supplies the route planning function, we continue to update the digitization of the double-lined main roads for the traffic network in Taipei City, Taichung City, Kaohsiung City, Keelung City, Hsinchu City, Chiayi City and Tainan City, in the hope of providing users with the most current status of the traffic network map information.   The major accomplishments for the project this year (2008) are as follows: Traffic network database maintenance and updates Updated street numbers. Updated the information of other layers, including landmark features, bridges, tunnels, as well as city, town and village layers. Digitization of the double-lined main roads for the traffic network, including Hsinchu City, Keelung City, Chiayi City, and Tainan City Validated the attributes and the logic of the traffic network: (1) Validated the geometry of the traffic network. (2) Used the data logic to verify the attributes of the traffic network. Built a website for electronic maps. Analyzed the electronic map for domestic and foreign content.
