| Summary | The accuracy and abundance of road network digital atlas has been reached a new level by executing relative projects for years. However, the atlas information might slightly differ from the current road conditions because of a long lag in collecting and updating road data. To keep accuracy and reliability of the atlas, we thus have to focus on how to build a report system of road status.Besides that the road alignment in map has to be consistent with the real road conditions, the road name is an important element for spatial identification. The network digital atlas we provided in this project has been identified by map checking and field investigation. Also, through the full support from Taipei County Policemen Bureau, we have verified the attributes of road name in Taipei County. It will help the development of applications for route planning and dispatching services.Furthermore, the road construction departments are the main sources of providing road updating information. Therefore, this project develops the road information reporting system which has been tested by several government organizations (e.g. Directorate General of Highways, City and Township Office, etc.). It is proved that this system can assist relative departments to build a feedback mechanism of real-time road updating information. |
