| Summary | Published in June 2003 IOT SERIAL No.92-73-752，164pp. This project aims to expand the geographic information system (GIS) of this Center by using MapInfo GIS. We added many data on MapInfo and used its program language, MapBasic, to write the new consulting modules. We have finished the following works in this year: (1) planning and design of system structure, (2) establishment of consulting module of ocean data, (3) establishment of consulting module of numeric simulation data, (4) establishment of consulting module of corrosion data of steel piles, (5) establishment of consulting module of container load and unloading data of wharves, (6) expansion and application of liquefaction modules, (7) database establishment of harbor engineering prices, (8) establishment of engineering basic data at the Port of Taipei, (9) system data renewing, (10) establishment of homepage of GIS results. In next year’s project, we will continue to increase contents to improve the system. |
