| Summary | At present, the island round cycling route network in our country has been completed the construction of Cycling Route No. 1 and 25 Cycling Branch Routes, with the total length of 2,690 kilometers, successfully driving the fad of cycling around the island and tourism. However, cycling around the island is still more difficult and challenging for the general public, in order to provide a more friendly bicycle riding environment, make bicycle sightseeing tourism safer and more friendly, and attract more domestic and foreign tourists to participate at the same time, the Executive Yuan passed the "Plan of Upgrading and Diversifying Island Round Cycling Routes Integration and Promotion" on October 1, 2019, it is expected to invest NT$ 1.6 billion from 2020 to 2023 to optimize the existing Island Round Cycling Route Network; and combined with national scenic areas to plan for a diversified cycling route to create an in-depth journey for international and domestic tourists. |
