| Summary | Published in June 2003 IOT SERIAL No.92-79-758，274pp. To obtain the overall characteristics of marine meteorology in each divisive sea area, we conducted many long-term surveys, observations and analysis of marine meteorology around the sea of the five international harbors in Taiwan since 1986. Ever since then ,we have achieved satisfactory results to serve as useful references for research in marine engineering. This year’s project is to continue the long-term research in 2000. This project, the second project in 2000, is to introduce some sophisticated instruments for observation so that these five international harbors can connect with each other into a long-term weather observational net to make it easier for us to get long-term information. The observation station in Kao-hsiung Harbor and Chi-lung harbor has been set up in 2000, The observation station in Hua-lien Harbor was set up in 2001 and another was set up in Su-ao Harbor. In order to compensate the limitation of the observation station, we developed a set of models and would like to use related theories to contrast with the local marine meteorological information collected near harbor area. We hope to obtain more holistic and complete characteristics of marine meteorology in this way. |
