       As the concept of MaaS continues to gain global attention, the Ministry of Transportation's (MOT) 2020 White Paper on Transportation Policy has announced MaaS as one of the key development strategies. With the goal of providing convenient and sustainable mobility to people throughout the country, MOTC launched the ITS Development and Construction Plan (2021-2024) for local governments to apply for MaaS-specific subsidies. To assist local governments in the promotion of MaaS services and to pass on their experience in promoting MaaS services, this project assisted the

Ministry of Transportation in supervising the local governments that already received the 2021 subsidy (Taichung City, Kaohsiung City, Taitung City, and Penghu City) and facilitate their MaaS implementation plans, providing consultations on strategies for marketing, target market, transport modes integration, service plan, ticketing technology, pricing, etc.

       MaaS is expected to play a crucial role in the future one-stop smart travel service. For better cross-industry collaboration among MaaS and other existing tourist service platforms, we will cover the potential issues, complementary measures, and viable operation adjustments in this project. Furthermore, to ensure compatibility among project results, we will propose a general MaaS framework by integrating the scope of services formulated by MaaS Alliance and the functional requirements summarized from symposiums. Lastly, a review of MeNGo application’s service status is conducted as a reference for further revision of MaaS scope of services.
