       The development of unmanned aircraft systems application services has become a global trend. They have great application potential in the field of transportation due to their high mobility and flexible deployment features. The mobility, accessibility, and safety of the transportation system can also be effectively enhanced. In this study, through the research and development of domestic
and foreign drone technologies, industrial trends, and policy related data collection and interviews, the strategies for Taiwan’s unmanned aircraft systems development in the field of transportation were formulated. The focused results include: collecting domestic and foreign drone development trends and application statuses, checking Taiwan’s key industrial technology capabilities
and momentum gap in the field of drone technology. In addition, according to international development trends and Taiwan’s currentindustrial condition, the “Taiwan Unmanned Aircraft Systems Development Strategies in the Field of Transportation and Pathway Diagram 2.0 Version” has been revised. Two 2025 milestones for Taiwan’s unmanned aircraft systems in the field of transportation have also been proposed, while Taiwan’s U-Team planning has been organized to progressively promote the aforementioned strategic objectives.
