       This Manual is the attachment of the project of "Study on Traffic Engineering Safety Design Based on the Accident Types at Intersections", which integrates the design and configuration of the overall traffic safety engineering facilities at intersections, to provide design examples for the available traffic safety improvement measures aiming at each type of accident, to be used by the road management units and road designers to improve traffic engineering.
       This Manual integrates traffic safety engineering improvement design examples for each type of accident. In addition to the Chapter 1 Introduction, the contents of this Manual consists of six parts based on the main accident types of rightturn side collision, left-turn side collision, left-turn crossing side collision, fender bender, rear-end collision and cross collision at the intersections in our Country, to summarize the relevant design examples respectively. The last Chapter illustrates 3 comprehensive application cases at intersections to demonstrate the integrated application mode of this
Manual.
