        The current parameters of Vehicle Operating Cost (VOC) used in our Country are from The Survey of VOC and Promotion of Training Program for Economic Evaluation of Transport Project published in 2000 and 2001 and the data is from 10 years ago. Considering the prices have changed significantly in recent years, vehicles and new information communication technology have also made significant progress, the survey projects and survey methods need to be further reviewed and updated to enable the economic benefit evaluation results of the transportation construction
projects are more convincing.
This Project is divided into two years for implementation, and the work of first year (2019) focuses on exploring the applicability of Vehicle Operating Cost parameters settings and data, the feasibility of applying new information communication technology to assist in the investigation, drawing up the parameter surveys and updates plan at the same time, and initiate the survey. In the second year (2020), in addition to complete the overall survey and parameter update, also conduct the comparison verification on the results of update with the analysis research results of the 2009~2010
Vehicle Operating Cost Survey, and establish the Highway Vehicle Operating Cost Database, to provide the basis of future updates for the parameters related to Vehicle Operating Cost of "Handbook for the Economic Benefit Evaluation of Transportation Projects".
