According to the conclusion of MOTC meeting No. 1762 on April 16, 2020, the Minister indicated that the projects of the Regional Center should plan to link major policies in the future, including the Taiwan high-speed rail network around the island, smart transportation, sightseeing, regional revitalization and road safety, and to make specific recommendations on the planned work items
based on regional characteristics.
The Regional Transportation Development Research Center project has been in progress for more than 4 years since October 2015. Work items include "opening transportation education and training courses", "assisting local governments to analyze public transportation improvement cases", and "providing local government consultation and guidance. This study separately discusses the
completion status of the work projects and the problems that arose during the implementation of the project. It takes the development of public transportation as its starting point and emphasizes regional characteristics to encourage the input of human resources in the Regional Center and to conform with major national policies. Three types of major projects have been planned, including basic, competitive and designated types of plans, as the reference for the implementation of the next phase of the project. |
