Project Status

Subject Big Data Technology Application on Major congestion Roads and Corridors for Warning Mechanisms of Traffic Management
Purpose

  This project adapts early warning mechanisms from the former project, Using Application Service of Big Data Technology to Establish Early Warning Mechanisms for Traffic Management in Yilan, by enhancing big data technical analytics and dashboard design to complete the early warning mechanic to keep it accurate and current. On the other hand, inherited from the former project, test the mechanism on other major bottlenecks and transport corridors to complete the management on transport strategies. Traffic activity and corridors of the recreation site in Kenting is similar to the case of highway 5 in Yilan, therefore, the Hengchun Peninsula is chosen to verify the traffic early warning mechanism for this project. Key items are, 

  1. Establish the model for the traffic early warning mechanism,
  2. Construct traffic data warehouse and design traffic dashboards for major bottlenecks and transport corridors,
  3. Study and develop the traffic early mechanism on major bottlenecks and transport corridors,
  4. Apply traffic early warning mechanisms and big data technology analytic in the Hengchun Peninsula.
